TIME!!

So there's one thing you are never told before having children and that is "you no longer own your time". Yes i've heard of "me time" and all those good things but in reality the more time you spend away from your kids the more you think about them, so essentially they are not physically with you but they are the conversation. I mean how many times have you sat with your friends and pre-babies you'd talk about men, life, money, school, work etc. but post-babies you spend 10 minutes or less speaking about those "unimportant things" Now your conversation has the words nappies, creche, school, teething, stout (naughty), dirty house I mean the list goes on.

The worst part is when you havin a few to drink.........yep thats crunch time coz we all know what happens after that right. All the mothers will talk about their kids all at the same time!! yep at the same time, so you'd be talking about Tumisho/Molemo instead of me responding reagarding Tumisho/ Molemo I'll include my child's name (Lesedi) in the response, and vice versa. So then everyone ends up talking about their children without even noticing it.

 Lets be honest parenthood changes you, you sumhow feel more aware of what it means to be alive!! Yes you no longer have time to yourself but at the end of the day it is all worth it

Getting back to reality

So the holidays are over many of us have put on weight, spent money that we never really had, gave our kids all the toys they didnt need, went to visit family that you really had no business visiting coz they just reminded you why you only see them after 2 years, drank as if the liquore stores where gonna be out of stock .

But now it's time for REALITY ..........Back-to-School  drama.

All the ads just remind you of what we call responsibility and how if you had listened to ur parents u wuld hv waited to have kids# just saying.

So to all who do have kids, lets keep each other in our prayers as this will be a truly looooooooooong month, budgeted or not!!
